Mr. Kozak has earned the designation of Certified Management Consultant (“CMC”) from the Institute of Management Consultants. This designation is accredited to professionals who have exhibited the experience, client satisfaction and highest of ethical standards as required by the IMC.
Prior to establishment of WTK Associates, Mr. Kozak enjoyed a progressive, eighteen year career in banking. He was President and CEO of the Beverly Bank and Trust Company, where he oversaw the formation of a new bank, which included bringing directors and incorporators, key personnel, and professionals together. Under his direction, the group received all regulatory approvals, developed its strategic plan and raised in excess of $4 million in capital. As the 1989 to 1990 banking climate changed, it was decided to seek alternative opportunities, rather than to open the Bank at that time.
While active in bank management, Mr. Kozak had diverse experience in all areas of bank management and community banking where he served as Executive Vice President, COO, and Director of the Beverly Savings Bank, a $275 million bank. At Warren Bank, after merging with Beverly Savings, Mr. Kozak served as Executive Vice President for a $650 million public-bank with eight branches, three loan centers, and 250 employees. He was responsible for developing and implementing the business plan for the smooth transition of the merger of the two banks, including organizational development.
Mr. Kozak received a Master of Business Administration from Babson College in 1975 where he majored in finance and organizational behavior. He received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Salem State College in 1973 where he graduated cum laude. He also achieved Honors recognition from the Graduate School of Banking conducted at Brown University in 1978. Until December 2002, Mr. Kozak held Series 7, Series 63 and 65 securities licenses, which expired when the licenses became inactive.
